A warm Highland welcome and comfortable surroundings await you at Chestnut Villa B & B, situated just 0.5 mile from the centre of the village of Muir of Ord on the Black Isle near Inverness and Dingwall.

It is centrally located for day trips to the east, west and north coasts of the Scottish Highlands, taking in quaint fishing villages, remote lochs, tumbling rivers and waterfalls, all amidst some of the most magnificent mountain scenery in Europe.

Close by are the Highland Spa town of Strathpeffer with its imposing Victorian architecture and the pretty little place of Beauly with its Priory. Day trips can easily be made to places such as Ullapool, Gairloch, Inverewe Gardens, the Castle & Gardens of Mey, the Falls of Shin Visitor Centre and the Isle of Skye. Also within easy reach are Loch Ness and the beautiful Glen Affric.

The city of Inverness, capital of the Highlands, is 20 minutes away by car (or you can use the train or bus) and, just beyond, the lovely Speyside area of malt whisky distillery fame. More tourist information can be found on our "Places To See" page; also on our "Useful Links" page.
